The “Territoire d'Energie Tarn” has assigned SPIE CityNetworks 81 to illuminate a stretch of road made up of steep terrain in the municipality of Alos and thus secure the journey of schoolchildren who use it to get to the bus stop. Very quickly, solar street lighting proved to be the best solution, through the Combi Top 2 sets of Novéa Energies with their traditional luminaire and communicating detection. Winter is well established, and with it the longer nights that accompany us on our daily journeys. Darkness then raises safety issues, especially for pedestrians / vehicles cohabitation on the roads. This is the observation made by the village of Alos. This municipality of a hundred inhabitants is spread out in length, and some houses, in particular the new ones, are therefore quite far from the center. So when students have to go to the bus shelter, the question of lighting is at the heart of the concerns. It is with this in mind that the “Territoire d'Energie Tarn” worked together with SPIE CityNetworks 81 in order to find the best technical solution to this problem. The ground of the town being steep, solar lighting was also studied in parallel with a conventional connected solution as explained by “Territoire d'Energie Tarn”: “the ground being very rocky, the cost of installing autonomous street lights is almost equivalent to the cost of installing street lights connected to the grid. Autonomous lighting makes it possible to reduce the cost of civil engineering and construction time ". The solar lighting solutions has therefore become the most competitive. The DUPRAT TECSO agency, expert in public lighting and smart city, therefore carried out the project in order to illuminate the portion of the road with high-performance and aesthetic street lamps. The choice incline toward Combi Top 2 from its partner Novéa Energies. These 6-meter sets offer a 120 Wp panel coupled with a 436Wh battery equipped with exclusive Endurance + technology, offering the best lifespans on the market (20 years here). To integrate these new sets into the architecture of the village, the Vence copper luminaire is carried by an Aixoise bracket and the mechanical structure is colored in RAL 8016 for a traditional rendering with the same 4-sided model as the one already present in the town. In order to offer personalised lighting to residents, the poles have been equipped with 2 motion sensors, at 60 ° and 300 °, to light up at full power when schoolchildren pass. 3h30 of cumulative detection per night are planned with 60 sec of time delay at 100% per passage then the lampposts return on dimming mode at 10%. This secures up to 210 crossings per night. The lighting is also based on the Novmoov system, a communicating module that turns on several street lights simultaneously to form a train of light that accompanies the pedestrian. 7 sets have been installed on the portion to be secured, and now provide peace of mind to schoolchildren and their parents, for their daily journeys between the bus shelter and homes.
