The multi-sports field of Étang Salé, in Reunion (974), is now lit by six autonomous lighting pole Novéa Énergies. The six solar streetlights are COMBI TOP 2 with a 100 Wp solar panel, a TEKK S luminaire and a 704 Wh battery. The 15° inclination of the solar panel makes it possible to optimize solar capture on Reunion Island, which has a significant solar potential. This autonomous public lighting of quality brings a non-negligible comfort to the users of the multisports field, which can thus continue their activity at the fall of the night. The field had no lighting until then, forcing users to cease all activity when the penumbra arrived. Now, the six solar street lights come on at dusk and light up in full power for the next three hours, before going out. The choice of the autonomous for this multisport field, allowed to avoid heavy works of civil engineering (trench, repair of way) and the installation of network. In traditional wired electrical solution, the connection to the electrical network would have been expensive. A concrete block was sufficient for anchoring on the ground. The integration of this energy-autonomous lighting solution has therefore facilitated installation work and limited investment. Public lighting powered by solar energy is also an ecological solution because it allows to limit the environmental impacts by offering an alternative to the consumption of fossil and polluting energies. In addition, the operation of these lighting post does not involve any electric subscription to the energy supplier, and thus allows to limit expenses.
