This conurbation committee definitely modern decided since the start of its reflection, to opt for solar solution for its new project. After realising the different studies, Akkor selection was an evidence. Léo Lagrange park is situated at the edge of Reims city centre, and offers to residentials a qualitative fitted out green space for all the ages, with equipment and central lake. To secure a part of this space, the city wanted to set lighting up, especially near the public toilets, keeping in mind the respect of the environment and the users. Aware of new solutions, Reims decided to install a solar lighting solution to meet its need. “Luminaires equipped with « led », with a higher and higher efficiency, and the evolving mastery in solar energy leads us to wonder about installation of structure composed by these two technologies.” explain Thierry SACREPEIGNE, Operating manager to highways, traffic and lighting department. It’s our local sales representative, EPL company, based in Molinchart (02), who helped the conurbation of Reims in its solar lighting project. Novéa realised the three complementary studies (photometric, energetic and mechanical) to respond with relevance to the 3 axes required by the city : security, user comfort and biodiversity respect. The solution was composed by two AKKOR with, for each, 4 solar panels and a luminaire integrated. And still with our battery ENDURANCE + TECHNOLOGY, in this case with a power of 345 Wh. To finalise it, two presence detectors were added on each pole. This enables the lighting pole to be on dimming mode at 10% all over the night, with 100% lighting when users pass. The security is ensured thanks to both presence detectors and battery storage capacity, which offers an autonomy of more than 10 nights, without solar energy supply. The average lighting power is 10 lux, for a natural finish, sized to the use. Then the biodiversity is respected by this lighting, whose the colour temperature of 3000K (warm white) is non-aggressive, and also by the detection operating which limits luminous pollution (according to the decree EN13201, dated to 27/12/2018 about luminous pollution). This solution offers a total integration in park environment, with a sized lighting and a design relevant with the rest of public furniture. After the installation of these products at the beginning of this year, Reims city is satisfied with its choice, as Thierry SACREPEIGNE says: «The first impressions of users, councillors and different protagonists of public lighting sector, are positive about design and efficiency. This experience will certainly lead us to start new projects, in other parks and streets of the conurbation committee.” Further information: Model AKKOR 1.4 Light height 4.0 m RAL 2900 gris sablé Luminaire AKKOR integrated Service life > 100 000 h at 80 % of flow Solar panel 4 x 25 Wp Service life > 25 years Technology and capacity of the battery ENDURANCE + TECHNOLOGY 345 Wh Service life > 12 years Warranty 5 years
